The safari will take you to Bwindi national park for gorilla trekking and then take off nights at Lemala Wildwaters lodge to relax and chill after the trek. On arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will take on a domestic flight to kihihi where you will meet your driver guide who will transfer you to Bwindi where you will take a night at sanctuary forest lodge. You will be served dinner and then overnight.

The next day you will wake up early with breakfast then transfer to the park headquarters for briefing. You will be assigned to a family of gorillas in a group of eight people depending on your level of fitness. Head to the starting point accompanied by park rangers who have full knowledge of where the apes slept last night. They will as well give you security on the way searching for the apes. It will take from 30mins to 7hrs searching for them depending on where they slept last night. Once in contact with them, you will take one hour watching them learning their behaviours as well as taking photos of your choice but no flash is required while taking photos.

Once you are done with gorillas, you will descend to the park headquarters to receive your trekking certificate. Back to your lodge for lunch and get ready for ibyiwacu village tour one of the leading cultural attractions in Rwanda. The Village combines all of Rwanda’s known cultural traditions, people and history into one place for display and a personal experience. You will get to see what life was in a typical African village setting – the lifestyle, houses, traditional dances, dressing code, food, herbs and how the ancient kingdoms were generally organized.

You will be given an opportunity to learn ancient hunting skills, try weaving baskets/mats, carpentry. It is also a great place for relaxation while offering opportunities to purchase local craft, gifts and souvenir to show friends back home. You will be welcomed by loud dancing and drumming at the main gate which is only an indicator of the many great activities’ forthcoming.

The home visits and community walks while visiting the Village gives you great opportunities to understand the cultural uniqueness of the Kinyarwanda culture and heritage.

You will get the chance to sit side by side with the locals in their traditional homes and grass thatched huts. Share with them information and stories about Rwanda and her rich history/heritage. Back to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up early with breakfast and transfer to kihihi for your domestic flight back to Kampala where you will get another transfer to lemala Wildwaters lodge for relaxation for some nights.
