Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Receives a Baby Gorilla

Uganda Wildlife Authority officials have announced exciting news about the reception of a baby mountain gorilla. This is an amazing score of gorilla conservation seeing the number of gorillas raising naturally.

After a few days when the baby gorilla was born, the UWA team worked had to take the first photo of the baby, and was first seen on 9th May 2022.

According to UWA officials, the baby gorilla was born to a female adult Kebirungi the mother, and the Bweza the father. Both the mother and baby were confirmed to be in good health condition.

Nshongi habituated gorilla family of Rushaga sector Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Now, the Nshongi family number has risen to a total of 13 individuals.

The Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located on the southeastern side of the Park and is among the four trekking sectors of the park among others are Buhoma located in the northern section, Ruhija in the eastern and Nkuringo sector southern of the park.

Nshongi habituated gorilla family is the pioneer group of the Rushaga sector that refashioned gorilla trekking at Bwindi which was only conducted in the Buhoma sector.
