Kyaggwe secured the slot to the finals of the famous Buganda Masaza Cup Final 2024 after a goalless match with Buweekula.
Kyaggwe County sustained the position to their maiden final match of this tournament. Kyaggwe removed Buweekula in the semifinals where Kaggwe beat 2-1 at home at Bishop grounds in Mukono and the 0-0 draw at Buweekula grounds.
Kyaggwe advanced to their maiden final thanks to their first leg triumph at home last Sunday.
Kyaggwe was meeting Buweekula the fourth time their 1-1 and goalless stalemates at the group stage.
The Masaza Cup Final Kyaggwe will meet one of the league giants Buddu County who came in after a goal goal match with Kyadondo County.
To reach the Semifinal, Kyaggwe stunned two time competition winners Ssingo 2-1 on aggregate in the quarter-final.
Buweekula were targeting a third Masaza Cup final, having reached the 2012 and 2022 Finals before, they came to this tournament as one of the favorites though are now waiting for another year to triumph in the prestigious competition.
But for this year, Buweekula will have to battle for third place with Kyaddondo who were eliminated by Buddu 4-2 on aggregate in the other semi-final.
For Kyaggwe, under the stewardship of David Mutono their journey continues and will contest in the big game for the first time in history with 2016 and 2022 winners Buddu on 2nd November at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
