Upon Senegal’s victory for the just concluded AFCON of 2022 in Cameron after masterminding the Egyptian psychological game.
In this AFCON 2021, which was supposed to be played in 2021 and was postponed to 2022, some of the AFCON pedigree countries among which including South Africa, Zambia among others were not represented and in the same way Uganda was a victim.
However, in one way or the other many other countries have been represented with delegates in referees, securities, and in many other departments.
Uganda’s absence at the league was only represented by a team of security personnel among which including Dixon Bond Okello who upon the completion of the league was voted the best security personnel.
Security-wise the AFCON 2021 league was challenged to the extent that at least 8 people died and over 30 went injuries due to overcrowding and struggling to access the Paul Biya stadium.
It was important to look at those outstanding figures, particularly the security officers who always made sure that what happened at Paul Biya stadium don’t happen again.
Dixon Bond Okello is a certified FUFA, CAF, and FIFA security personnel who matched out of the AFCON tournament as an outstanding security officer.
Okello is a Ugandan born and a citizen who always performed his jobs as security personnel on various matches at Namboole stadium in Uganda
